The Consulate does not grant permits to repatriate human remains to Argentina. Relatives or those in charge should coordinate the transportation of the remains with the funerary and the airline directly.

█ ██ ███ █████ HUMAN REMAINS
The following documentation is required when transporting human remains:
- Death certificate;
- A certificate stating that the deceased did not die from a communicable disease;
- A certificate from the funeral home indicating that the remains have been embalmed (embalming report) and placed in an approved container or "air-tray”, in order to be shipped. This certificate must be notarized.
All these documents need to be authenticated by Global Affairs Canada and legalized by this Consulate before being valid in Argentina.

█ ██ ███ █████ HUMAN ASHES
The following documentation is required when transporting human ashes:
- Death certificate;
- Cremation certificate, issued by the crematory, indicating the name of the deceased and that the urn only contains human ashes;
- International transportation certificate issued by the funerary indicating that the urn contains human ashes.
All these documents need to be authenticated by Global Affairs Canada and legalized by this Consulate before being valid in Argentina.
