In general terms, canadian citizens do not require a visa to enter the Argentine Republic for tourism purposes, being able to stay for up to 90 consecutive days, starting on the date of entry.
Holders of travel documents require a visa, regardless of their nationality, to enter Argentina. Visa applications must be submitted by email, attaching all required documents in PDF format for verification. Once approved, an appointment will be scheduled for the consular interview, submission of original documents, and payment of the corresponding consular fees.
As standard procedure, the applicant has to submit the documentation digitally (PDF) for review to the aforementioned E-Mail cmrea@cancilleria.gov.ar. Citizens of the People’s Republic of China, the Dominican Republic, and the Republic of India: In accordance with Resolutions No. 316 and 353/2025, citizens holding ordinary passports from these countries who possess a valid United States visa in the following categories: B1/B2, B2, J, B1, O, P (P1, P2, and P3), E, and H-1B, may enter the country for a period of up to 30 days, without the need to apply for a tourist visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).
The authorized stay may be extended once, for a similar period, subject to evaluation by the National Directorate of Migration. Please note that beneficiaries of this measure are not permitted to request a change of immigration status during their stay.
Additionally, the National Directorate of Migration has confirmed that the United States Permanent Resident Cards (Green Card) are accepted as valid documentation in place of a U.S. visa, in order to facilitate the entry into the national territory.
Mandatory travel insurance: All foreign citizens must have insurance that covers hospitalization, medical assistance, and other similar expenses. Insurance documents may be written in a language other than Spanish.
